TC19 – Software for management and configuration of Automotive Ethernet Switches
The OPEN Alliance Technical Committee 19 (TC19) focuses on software for management and configuration of Automotive Ethernet Switches. The goal of TC19 is to provide a SW abstraction of feature configuration and usage of Ethernet Switches.
TC18 – Remote Control Protocol
Remote Control Protocol (RCP) is a lightweight communication technology, aimed to ease the transition towards zonal architectures and the simplification of the overall IVN towards an All-Ethernet approach. With the usage of RCP it is made possible to shift complexity around a reduced number of centralized computing platforms, hence reducing complexity, size and costs on attached peripheral devices.
TC17 – MACsec Automotive Profile
MACsec is an important addition for onboard network security, development at some OEMs has already begun, but simplifying (taking away unused options) and making some specific adjustments (e.g. timeouts) is needed for the automotive sector. In particular, the key distribution scheme as specified in MKA provides many options, not all of which are highly suited for application in automotive.
TC16 – EEE Interoperability and Compliance
The focus of the TC16 Committee is EEE Interoperability and Compliance. TC16 will publish specification documents to use EEE in automotive applications.
TC15 – Multi-Gig Interoperability and Compliance Tests
With the expanding technology of Automotive Ethernet, the focus of the TC15 Committee is Multi-Gig Interoperability and Compliance Tests.
The following Subgroups will be established to focus on the following Ethernet topics:
- PCS Test Spec for MiltiGBASE-T1
- PMA Test Spec for MultiGBASE-T1
- PHY Control Test Spec for MultiGBASE-T1
- Interoperability Test Spec for MultiGBASE-T1
- Transceiver EMC Test Spec for MultiGBASE-T1
- System Implementation Spec
- Advanced PHY Features
- EMC Test Spec for ESD Suppression Device for MultiGBASE-T1
